Little Sister's Dolls Vienese Chicken

Poultry Level of Difficulty: Easy An all time favorite at home when I was a child.  This chicken literally falls off the bone!

Ingredients:

Whole chicken, cut up 1/2 small onion, chopped 1/4 teaspoon oregano 2 bay leaves 1 teaspoon parsley flakes Cooked white rice

Cooking Instructions:

Salt, pepper and flour chicken and brown in olive oil Remove chicken and brown onion in remaining olive oil Pour in enough water to cover chicken Add oregano, bay leaves and parsley Bring to boil Turn heat down to SIMMER and let cook for 1 to 1 1/2 hours Boil white rice

Serving Suggestions:

Serve in 9 x 12 baking dish I always loved green beans or early peas with this, and of course, there was always bread and butter on the table  :)
