Little Sister's Dolls Vienese Chicken

Level of Difficulty: Easy
An all time favorite at home when I was a child. This chicken literally falls off the bone!

|
- Whole chicken, cut up
- 1/2 small onion, chopped
- 1/4 teaspoon oregano
- 2 bay leaves
- 1 teaspoon parsley flakes
- Cooked white rice

- Salt, pepper and flour chicken and brown in olive oil
- Remove chicken and brown onion in remaining olive oil
- Pour in enough water to cover chicken
- Add oregano, bay leaves and parsley
- Bring to boil
- Turn heat down to SIMMER and let cook for 1 to 1 1/2 hours
- Boil white rice

Serve in 9 x 12 baking dish I always loved green beans or early peas with this, and of course, there was always bread and butter on the table :)
