Little Sister's Dolls "Killer" Oatmeal Cookies

Cookies Level of Difficulty: Easy These are called "Killer" cookies, because that's the word used to express just how delicious they are.

Ingredients:

2/3 Cup shortening 2/3 Cup BUTTER 4 Cup Old Fashioned Oats 1 TSP Salt 1 TSP Baking Soda 1 Cup Chopped Walnuts or Pecans ( I prefer walnuts) 1 Cup Raisins 1 1/2 Cup Flour 1 Cup Sugar 1 Cup Brown Sugar, packed 1 Large EGG 2 TSP Vanilla extract

Mixing Instructions:

Mix shortening, butter, sugars, egg and vanilla Blend remaining ingredients and drop by spoonfuls onto UNGREASED baking sheet

Cooking Instructions:

Bake at 375 for 8 - 10 minutes

Serving Suggestions:

Most people would say a glass of milk - something I don't like ONE bit, but hey.....go for it...  :)

Notes:

I use a baking stone to bake my cookies on instead of a cookie sheet.  I find that they cook more evenly that way. If you have a convection oven, these are extra good cooked in one of those!
